Low-Dose Naltrexone (LDN) – Immune Modulator

Low-Dose Naltrexone (LDN) – Immune Modulator
Low-Dose Naltrexone (LDN) refers to using naltrexone at much lower doses (approximately 0.5 mg – 4.5 mg) than the typical 50 mg dose used for addiction treatment. At these low doses, naltrexone has a paradoxical effect on the body’s opioid receptors and immune system. LDN causes a temporary blockade of opioid receptors, which leads to a rebound increase in endorphin production once the blockade wears off. This endorphin surge is believed to help regulate immunity, reduce inflammation, and promote healing.
